Had been referred by an AA recovery mechanic to G.A.S as a respectable garage. The one I went to for work previously were clearly not in the business of fixing cars, only quick easy jobs. With this current issue they told me to "wait until something breaks before we try and change anything around, problem is hard to diagnose"
G.A.S were able to sort out the coolant leak onto my core plugs and the car was running better. Very knowledgable team and mechanic told me how to avoid the issue in the future by buying a small waterproof spark plug / engine shield.
Decided to take care back to them for a top of the line service. Work was completed in a timeley manner. They were super transparant and showed me my old spark plugs. The car is running smoothly now. No misfiring, no lazy starts.
As an NHS worker I was even given a 20% DISCOUNT, which is unheard of / hard to come by these days.
If youre looking for a trustworthy garage who take pride in their work (and also look after NHS staff), G.A.S is for you. I've certainly found a new regular garage.
Very accommodating and helpful.
My car needed lots of work to sort out long standing advisories, diagnosed by another garage, who couldn't fit in the work at the time.
It was expensive work, but was in line with what expected.
Will definitely return - hopefully not until my next mot.
Thanks guys
